7 Ways That You Can Easily Build Your Brand

Well, you have finally set up your business, and now you are trying to figure out how to best build your brand. Hopefully, you have determined a great name for which you can use to gain recognition every chance that you get. Following are 7 fun and creative ways to help you build credibility, recognition, and connection with your targeted customers.

  • Develop your brand personality and color template: Ask yourself what would you like your brand to represent e.g., femininity, boldness. What colors would suit that personality that you have developed? You would then incorporate the personality and colors in the creation of your logo, website, your photos, and your business cards.

  • Online Presence: Establish an online presence that is in alignment with your brand. Be it a website or social media account. It is important that your business can be found online. In today’s world, the first place one looks for a business or service is the Internet. Make sure that you can be found online. Do a search of your own business. Think about what customers would type in a search box to look for a product or service like yours, and then try it yourself. Did your business come up? If not, this is a great place to build your brand.

  • Mobile Presence: If you already have a website, is it mobile-friendly site? Can your website be viewed by customers who primarily use mobile devices to search for goods and services?

  • Branded email: A business-branded mail e.g., your name@yourbusiness.com shows the world your company is established and professional, whereas a generic email, like your business@freemailaddress.com may project inexperience or it could raise doubts about whether you’re a real company. Using a branded email, every time you send an email, promotes your business.

  • Register Domain Names: The first step for many businesses after setting up their business is to register one or more domain names to represent their brand. Registering longer and more descriptive domain names (which conveniently make up the majority of available domain names) that include keywords, location information, and/or memorable phrases is advantageous because many Internet users simply type search terms into a browser to find what they are looking for. Businesses can take advantage of this by thinking of keywords their customers might use to find their business and register a combination of those keywords as domain names. Leveraging multiple domain names can provide additional marketing opportunities and also aids in protecting your brand online as you won’t risk a competitor registering your name, or that a name won’t be available when you want to register it.

  • Business Cards: Ensure that your business cards are emblazoned with your logo, tag line, web address, and contact information.

  • Email Marketing: Build an email list by asking customers for their email addresses when they are on your website and/or social media sites. This is a great way to ensure constant communication with them about promotions, discounts, events, or business information. Professional emails should be sent frequently, but not where it is annoying. You will need to determine the schedule e.g., monthly or bimonthly that works best for you and your customers.

Prior to investing time and money in any of these activities, it is imperative that you know your target audience, your marketing budget, and your goals.
